DESCRIPTION

"BOOGIE'S GUIDE TO THE STREETS"

 

Walk the streets of world-famous South Beach with acclaimed street photographer BOOGIE. 

This 3-day workshop during the Miami Street Photography Festival will take your photography to the next level. Boogie will accompany the participants to shoot on the streets of South Beach and other areas of Miami and will share his extensive street photography experience.

SCHEDULE ( tentative)

Day 1 Thursday, December 1st

Meet at HistoryMiami Museum at 10 am for introduction, Q/A, and portfolio reviews. Then go out with Boogie to a location in either Wynwood or South beach to shoot. Optional lunch as a group.

Day 2: Friday, December 2nd

Meet in South Beach at 10 am for a shooting session with Boogie. Walk the streets alone or in small groups. Lunch as a group to talk and discuss the day. ( lunch not included) . Then shoot on your own 

Day 3 Saturday, Dec 3rd

Meet at HistoryMiami Museum at 9:30 AM for the final editing and review session with Boogie.

BOOGIE

Born and raised in Belgrade, Serbia, Boogie began photographing rebellion and unrest during the civil war that ravaged his country during the 1990s. Growing up in a war-torn country defined Boogie's style and attraction to the darker side of human existence. He moved to New York City in 1998. He has shot for highly profiled clients and has been published in world-renowned publications. His work has been exhibited around the world. Boogie lives and works between Brooklyn and Belgrade.

His first book, It’s All Good (powerHouse Books, 2006) was one of five finalists for Best Photography Book of 2006 at the Santa Fe Prize for Photography. CANCELLATION POLICY

  • If canceled more than 60 days in advance: Full refund

  • if canceled 60 and 45 days prior to the start date of your workshop, we will refund all payments made, less a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the payment.

  • Withdrawal less than 45 prior to the start date of the workshop will result in no refund
