2014 MSPF WORKSHOPS
MAKING THE ORDINARY EXTRAORDINARY
STREET PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP IN FORT LAUDERDALE, FL
The goal of this workshop is to teach the photographer how to make candid pictures in the public domain, making the ordinary extraordinary. Combining people, place, and moment we will attempt to make photographs which are surprises - images that have never been seen before and will never be seen again.
We are looking for complexity, beauty, mystery, poetry and emotion. Showing what things look like is not enough: we must show how we feel about the subject matter and use all the elements in the frame to capture a unique image which will have a long life in our memory bank.
Working in the Ft. Lauderdale, area we will have access to wonderful locations for people photographs: the huge flea market on Sunrise Boulevard, the Hollywood Beach boardwalk with its teeming humanity, and Ft. Lauderdale Beach with its grand hotels and beaches.
