"Closing the circle— the photographic composition"

Photography is about taking pictures. That seems obvious. But taking pictures is only a fraction of the art of photography. Many photographers spend a great amount of time thinking about cameras and equipment and how to perfect the art of capturing an image. Some give the subjects and the projects they photograph great thought. They might even become proficient in printing. Sadly, however, the last step of the edit, the creation of a book, of a printed series for an exhibit, or the development of a photomontage, or even the creation of something entirely new are forgotten and neglected. Solé’s talk illustrates her explorations using her photographs to explore new boundaries and dynamics.
